Job Description:
Location - Chennai
Reviewing large contracts signed with the customers and providing revenue recognition guidance in compliance with company policy & ASC606
Ensure effective engagement with assigned portfolio/country/region with relevant stakeholders (BU Finance Pricing regional Controllership) acting as a trusted business partner providing relevant and timely recommendations and informed decisions based on a thorough understanding of the deal and in compliance with policy
Provide adequate pre/post signature revenue recognition support according to deal risk/large TCV through clear and effective communication provide pre-signature consultancy by proactively obtaining and reviewing contractual T&Cs and draft P&L in order to document and communicate revenue guidance to deal team. Where required provide timely guidance prior to Governance validated with the relevant level of approval within GRA
Ensure that Revenue Recognition Checklist (RRC) is accurately filled out with thorough representation of contractual terms context and technical/solution details as needed
Ensure all compliance processes are adhered to and provide support IA/SOX/Self Audit processes for relevant revenue recognition items
Strong track record and core skills demonstrated in the immediate past while applied in an advisory capacity relating to US GAAP revenue recognition ASC 606 or IND AS 115 or IFRS 15. Prior exposure to Lease accounting under US GAAP ASC 842 or IFRS 16 is preferred as well.
General operational exposure and high performance record in a revenue unit of a MNC similar to DXC is a must. A strong background from a compliance oriented process driven organization.
Excellent communication skills and a record of strong business engagement is a must for this role.
