Description

Are you mechanically inclined and looking for a hands-on opportunity Kal Tire is seeking Tire Retread Technicians to join our team at our re-manufacturing facility in Sparwood BC. As a Tire Retread Technician youll play a key role in extending the life of commercial tires through the retreading process helping reduce waste and support our commitment to sustainability. Youll be part of a close-knit production team that values precision safety and teamwork.

What to Expect in This Role:To help you decide if this role is the right fit heres what a typical day looks like:

Youll work in a manufacturing environment that can be warm noisy and fast-paced.

Youll be on your feet most of the day using hand tools and machines to inspect buff and prepare tires for retreading.

The work is repetitive but methodical requiring patience and a strong attention to detail.

Youll wear protective gear (gloves safety glasses steel-toe boots) and follow strict safety procedures.

Youll be part of a supportive team that works together to meet daily production goals.

Training & Onboarding:We know the first few months are crucial thats why we provide:

Paid training covering wheel refinishing shipping/receiving and retread operations.

A peer mentor to help you learn processes and adjust to the environment.

Gradual skill progression youll start with tire inspection and preparation before advancing to full retreading.

Clear expectations and feedback at each stage of your training.

Pay & Benefits:

Starting wage: $23.37/hr dependent on experience. We offer a clear path for career advancement with wage increases along the way.

Monthly performance bonus program.

Schedule & Work Environment:

-***12 hours shifts Schedule is 7 and 7 shifts straight nights or days

Mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools or equipment.

Ability to use PPE and follow safety procedures.

Basic computer skills for recording production data.

Valid drivers license preferred.
