Nurse Unit Manager
We are seeking 2 experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Managers to take on a pivotal leadership role within a regional health service in Victoria located approximately halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne. These leadership opportunities include:
- One Nurse Unit Manager in Residential Aged Care and
- One Nurse Unit Manager in Acute and Urgent Care.
Both roles offer an exciting opportunity for a confident clinical leader who thrives on leading from the front inspiring teams and driving excellence in care delivery. You will play a critical role in shaping a positive care culture supporting and developing your team and ensuring the highest standards of safe high-quality and person-centred care in line with the relevant clinical guidelines and frameworks.
This includes day-to-day clinical operations staff leadership rostering quality and safety oversight resource management and supporting a positive consumer-centred care culture.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated competence in leading and managing a team to deliver services that ensures safe person-centered care
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage rosters and workforce needs
- Preferable post-graduate training or education in aged care acute medical or emergency nursing
- Preferable post-graduate education in leadership and management or plans to undertake
- Knowledge of key guidelines and frameworks relevant to the role including but not limited to Safe Patient Care Act Code Grey requirements and Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Adaptability to competing demands
- Annual Flu vaccination
- Current Police Clearance Working with Children Check and NDIS Check or willingness to obtain
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
