Job Summary
The Teacher at St. Rose of Lima School is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and faith formation within parish educational programs. Rooted in the mission of the Catholic Church the Teacher fosters academic growth spiritual development and a love of learning in a supportive faith-filled environment. The Teacher works collaboratively with parish staff families and students to support the holistic development of each learner.
Job Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with parish or diocesan guidelines
Integrate Catholic teachings values and traditions into daily instruction
Create a positive respectful and faith-centered classroom environment
Assess student learning and maintain appropriate records and documentation
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
Collaborate with parish staff catechists and administrators to support student success
Participate in parish meetings training sessions and professional development
Support parish events and activities as needed
Uphold classroom management practices that reflect Gospel values
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in Education or a related field
Teaching experience preferred
Knowledge of instructional best practices and classroom management
Strong communication organization and collaboration skills
Commitment to the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
Practicing Catholic preferred in accordance with parish policy
Working Conditions & Requirements
Classroom and parish-based instructional settings
May involve working with various age groups
Completion of diocesan Safe Environment training and background checks required
