Howdens is seeking a driven volume recruiter to join our nationwide trade recruitment team based at our Croxley Green office in Watford. This is a permanent role working four days a week in our busy office with the flexibility of one day working from home.
As part of a high performing team that manages around 2000 vacancies each year youll play a key role in helping to support our depots. Reporting to the Trade Recruitment Manager youll thrive in a fast paced target driven environment where high volume recruitment expertise is essential.

What you will bring:
- Experience in a high-volume agency or high volume internal recruitment role is essential
- Driven and relationship focused youre someone who enjoys engaging candidates and keeping the hiring process moving with pace and professionalism
- Experienced in high volume recruitment ideally within sales or similarly fast moving markets
- Passionate about headhunting sourcing and building talent pipelines
- Confident working at pace while maintaining strong attention to detail and high reporting accuracy
- Customer focused with the ability to build strong relationships with Depot Managers Area Managers and the wider HR teams
- Comfortable adapting to new systems. Experience with Workday would be an advantage as we transition later this year
What you will be doing:
- Building strong relationships and acting as a trusted recruitment partner to Depot Managers Area Managers and the wider HR team
- Driving candidate sourcing activity proactively headhunting and engaging candidates while ensuring we provide the best candidate experience
- Managing your recruitment pipeline with precision ensuring accurate reporting and attention to detail.
- Attending recruitment events and working with local schools and colleges to promote our brand and opportunities.
- Providing your HR Business Partner and Recruitment Manager with weekly reporting updates
- Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to ideas to strengthen attraction and process efficiency.
