Job Summary

The DPS (Digital Product Specialist) is responsible for supporting the sales of Digital Products in the US Irrigation market. The job requires a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels pre- and post-sales including engineers distributors operators etc. The DPS is expected to provide technical support for the Regional Sales Managers and distributors. Occasional travel to sites for troubleshooting installation supervision and training sessions. The DPS is expected to master all technical aspects of the equipment and become the company go-to person on these products.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing the sales plan for digital products including implementation and execution oversight
  • Responsible for improving the product portfolio and support system ensuring alignment with market need
  • Cross train on other control valve and air valve products to be a backup for our existing product engineers
  • Training and certifying dealers across the United States to serve as the primary support line for digital products
  • Travels frequently for jobsite support field troubleshooting engineer presentations and exhibitions.
  • Conduct presentations and training sessions as needed both with RSMs and without as necessary.
  • Study and identify competitors pricing activities new products and strengths/weaknesses
  • Suggest marketing activities to help penetrate new markets
  • Identify market needs and suggest solutions and product improvements

Qualifications: (Education Experience and Personal Attributes)

  • Proven experience in sales of technical / engineered products used in the irrigation market. Previous experience with irrigation control systems and flow meters
  • Flexibility for travel as needed and the ability to operate autonomously
  • Ability to connect with stakeholders of various levels (from field operators and contractors to consulting engineers)
  • Professional presentation and training skills
  • High level of personal integrity
  • Driven and results oriented
