Construction Account Manager GFL Environmental in Rocky View County.

GFL Environmental is looking for a driven and customer-focused Construction Account Manager to join our team! If youre passionate about building strong relationships uncovering opportunities and making a real impact in the construction industry this role is for you. Youll be responsible for managing and growing a book of business specifically within the construction sector promoting GFLs solid waste services and delivering customized solutions that meet your clients evolving job site needs.

What Youll Do:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of construction clients including homebuilders developers and general contractors.

  • Prospect and close new business opportunities within your assigned territory.

  • Develop a strong understanding of construction timelines site service requirements and industry-specific needs.

  • Conduct job site visits safety walkthroughs and consult with site supervisors to provide tailored solutions.

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing and execute service agreements.

  • Maintain a pulse on local market conditions and competitor offerings.

  • Work closely with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

  • Represent GFL at construction and trade industry events networking functions and client meetings.

  • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue growth and customer retention targets.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: 2 years of B2B sales experience preferably within the solid waste construction or industrial services industry.

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business sales or a related field is an asset.

  • Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with the unique needs of construction clients and job site logistics is a strong asset.

  • Relationship Builder: Proven ability to build trust with clients and maintain long-term partnerships.

  • Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Highly Organized: Skilled at managing time priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems and reporting tools.

  • Valid Drivers License: Travel within the territory is required.
