What You Will Do

Were seeking a motivated enthusiastic Back-End Developer to support our team in designing rebuilding and optimizing an existing SQL database system. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with real data contribute to meaningful internal tools and sharpen your fullstack development skills. This internship is a great opportunity to strengthen your technical skills while working with experienced developers on a business-critical application.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in designing developing and optimizing backend services and APIs
Write efficient SQL queries stored procedures and data models
Support backend development using Python and/or Java
Support integration with front-end components using HTML CSS and JavaScript
Help build and maintain APIs and server-side logic
Participate in debugging testing and code reviews
Document database structures processes and updates
Learn best practices in software development security and performance optimization

Qualifications You Must Have

Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Familiarity with HTML CSS and JavaScript
Understanding of programming fundamentals and data structures
Interest in backend development and problem-solving

Qualifications We Prefer

Exposure to relational database systems (MySQL PostgreSQL SQL Server etc.)
Experience with Git or other version control tools
Understanding of REST APIs
Coursework or personal projects involving backend or database development
Curiosity about cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP)
Ability to collaborate ask questions and learn quickly
Minimum GPA of 3.0

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
