Job Description
The Revenue Distribution Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and payment of revenues to all owner types. This individual is also responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and payment of all severance taxes and unclaimed property. Strong analytical skills attention to detail and financial analysis skills are essential for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential functions are identified in bold and italicized text below.)
Must work safely at all times.
Manage the monthly revenue settlement process.
Track and follow progress of recouping funds due to the company caused by prior period adjustments.
Verify information for 1099 processing and reporting.
Prepare and print the settlement checks and facilitate the mailing of such.
Prepare all state severance tax reports and process payments for approval.
Mail monthly due diligence letters for dormant funds susceptible to unclaimed property.
Assist the Senior Revenue Distribution Supervisor in reporting unclaimed property.
Assist the Senior Revenue Distribution Supervisor with the monthly check reconciliation.
Escalate issues to the Senior Revenue Distribution Supervisor as necessary.
Copy Senior Revenue Distribution Supervisor on all email correspondence reports and other important details that could have a significant impact on the team or department.
Exhibit ethical integrity.

Attend and actively participate in all necessary meetings.

Develop and maintain open two-way communication with supervisor.

Position Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical skills required to perform a series of analytical and revenue/royalty-related activities from initial well production through the life of the well.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Strong skill set to learn systems specific to the company.
Excellent customer service interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
Working knowledge of date-sensitive RDS system / Solar Right Angle is a plus.
Must possess strong problem solving skills.
Must possess a keen attention to detail.
Must demonstrate a high level of initiative to improve efficiencies.
Shows integrity and consistency in all aspects of performing the job and takes pride in ones work.
Must display a professional appearance and presentation.
Demonstrated ability to maintain stability under pressure and be flexible and willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary.
Demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and/or holidays.
Demonstrated ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally.
Demonstrated ability to work with respect and cooperation at all times with fellow employees and customers.
Must be dependable with a stable work history.
Experience/Education
Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in division order/revenue distribution accounting is required.
1 3 years of accounting experience in revenue is preferred.
Experience with Wolfepak software is preferred.
Experience with an RDS is preferred.
Travel
Negligible travel required.
