With over 50 facilities located across Canada and 650 Associates Applied supports the steel mining forestry agriculture automotive oil and gas food processing power generation pulp and paper and transportation industries just to name a addition Applied provides engineering design and systems integration for industrial fluid power and flow control applications as well as customized mechanical fabricated rubber fluid power and flow control shop services.

We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position ofPricing Analyst. This role can be fully remote on-site or hybrid.Location is flexible for anywhere Applied operates in in Canada however preference is close to one of our major service centres.

The Pricing Analyst will work with field associates and Strategic Accounts team members to manage the following areas; customer re-price process management customer RFQs Portal and Digital customer engagement and other related projects. Candidates chosen will receive intensive training for these roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively work with Applieds Canadian Pricing Team Chargeback Team Strategic Account team (SA) Branch Service center (SC) Field Sales/Operations and Corporate Operations teams to support Applieds revenue and margin growth plans

  • Lead or assist in Pricing activities including pricing and margin analysis gross margin enhancement activities rebate analysis and other activities as required

  • Work with the Digital Order Desk Team and Field to help onboard and implement digital/portal accounts

  • Lead/support efforts to normalize and identify products contained in Strategic Account client Request for Pricing (RFP) data files and repricing exercice

  • Provide input into how Applieds Client RFP processes can be improved and automated

  • Work with SAMs/BDMs/field personnel to establish appropriate Pricing and supplier Chargebacks (CB) for each Client RFP

  • Input all required data into SAP in a timely and efficient manner

  • Ensure that the correct landed rebated costs gross margins (or mark ups) and price levels are calculated correctly for all primary and alternative suppliers requested/allowed by SA or Field clients during each RFP

  • Proactively enhance product knowledge in primary product Bearing & Power Transmission (BPT) and product Fluid Power & Industrial Maintenance Supply/Maintenance area

  • Support the utilization of tools and processes that that can improve Applieds quotation and pricing activities

  • Communicate with clients as required to support the development of an accurate SA client RFP response

  • Other activities to support business needs as required

  • Train and mentor other team members as required

Expected Results or Outcomes:

  • Meet all customer RFP requirements and expectations

  • Meet all Re-price requirements and expectations

  • Manage the process while ensure timely responses

  • Participate in meetings with all related teams

  • Completes all assigned and supported action items from meetings in a timely manner

  • Support in maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure that the terms of our agreements are both supported and adhered to

  • Support the SA Manager or MDM as required to liaison with our suppliers in obtaining competitive pricing information and documentation

  • Maintain matrices in a uniform and efficient manner to ensure the delivery of accurate costing CB calculations and price structure maintenance

  • Maintain documentation on all pricing and structure changes as it relates to the specific SA Agreement

  • Analyze the situation gather necessary data make a clear & concise recommendation (if required)

Required Technical Skills Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Good data manipulation and normalization skill level

  • Strong interest in learning new technologies

  • Experience with SAP Pricing modules is an asset

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Good at manipulating data within spreadsheets and databases)

  • Fundamental understanding in pricing structures and strategies

  • Goal and results oriented individual who can juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication negotiation and analytical skills

  • Must be able to set priorities manage and organize a diverse set of job responsibilities and work within deadlines

  • Positive can-do attitude team player

  • Strategic thinker with a strong business analytic skill set (think outside the box

  • Industry knowledge in wholesale or distribution

  • Able to work independently

  • Exhibits leadership skills to others within the group

  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential

Required Experience and Education:

  • The ability to interact with client and supplier personnel in an effective and professional manner

  • 5 or more years of industry experience is an asset

  • Experience and knowledge in Bearings & P.T.

  • Experience with FP & MRO products is an asset
