Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Fuel Truck Driver A to join our staff located at Catlettsburg KY. The Fuel Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting and delivering fuel safely and efficiently to designated locations inspecting and maintaining vehicles documenting delivery details and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations. The role requires attention to detail adherence to schedules and exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and team members.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections in accordance with MPC policies and all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Verify that the tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer meets all operating requirements and that all necessary equipment is present and functioning properly. Document inspections and note any deficiencies on the required preâtrip form.
  • Operate a tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer to safely and efficiently transport product maintaining professional conduct at all times. Comply with all federal state and local laws and follow MPC and site-specific standard operating procedures for loading and unloading.
  • Perform postâtrip inspections in alignment with MPC policy and DOT regulations. Complete all required documentation and ensure equipment is fully prepared for the next shift.
  • Report all incidentsincluding safety and environmental concernspromptly and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Identify and report any equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Consistently follow and uphold all safety rules operational procedures and DOT requirements.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in vehicle operation and fuel transportation
  • Prior experience as a fuel truck driver or related positions is advantageous
  • Understanding of safety protocols regulations and compliance related to fuel delivery and hazardous materials
  • License Restrictions: Operate manual and/or automatic transmission.
  • Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and provide consent to company for review of driving record(s).
  • Must pass required drug and alcohol screening(s).

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Valid Drivers License and Valid TWIC Card Required
  • Meet physical demands as listed above
