Job Summary:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient inventory management and optimize warehouse processes. If you have a background in warehouse operations and are ready to take on a leadership role we invite you to apply.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Warehouse Support:
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving storage and distribution.
- Ensure proper labeling organization and inventory control.
Team Supervision:
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to lead and manage warehouse staff providing guidance training and support.
- Promote a culture of safety accountability and efficiency among the team.
Inventory Oversight:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through cycle counts audits and replenishments.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist in stock management.
Process Enhancement:
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support efforts to streamline receiving storage and distribution procedures.
Vendor Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating shipments with suppliers and vendors resolving issues and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Collaborate on vendor relationships to optimize pricing and service.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelors degree in Business or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations with demonstrated leadership potential.
Physical Requirements:
- The Assistant Warehouse Manager position may require physical exertion including lifting and carrying inventory and assisting with warehouse tasks
