Job Summary

Position: Coordinator for Classified Staff

Classification: Classified/Non-Exempt

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelors degree or related experience in a Human Resources-related area preferred;
  • Ability to use Google and Microsoft product suite required;
  • Basic graphic design skills preferred.

The Human Resources Coordinator for Classified Staff ensures quality customer service compliant processes and implementation of best practices at the ground level of all related operations. This role serves as the first point of contact for employment-related queries internally and externally for all certified positions in the District.

  • Actively participate in professional development and obtain skills and information necessary to effectively perform job duties.
  • Conduct all official business in a professional and timely manner utilizing district technology resources.
  • Arrive to work and leave work at the time specified by supervisors and attend all required meetings pertinent to the position.
  • Maintains accurate records and filing systems for accountability and audit purposes as required by law and Board policy.
  • Solve practical problems utilizing math functions as needed to complete job duties.
  • Read and interpret documents such as work orders safety rules and handbooks and apply to job duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide day-to-day operational services for all Human Resource activities for Classified Staff under the direction of the Assistant Director of Human Resources.
  • Coordinate employment activities related to Classified Staff.
  • Serve as the first line for customer service inquiries related to employment in certified positions.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new hires ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Process new hire documentation including any applicable data entry into various systems within strict timelines to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the coordination of annual essential training requirements
  • Lead new hire orientations.
  • Coordinate process verify and maintain personnel related documentation including staffing recruitment training and performance evaluations for classified staff.
  • Verify all relevant applicant credentials including work eligibility.
  • Pull certification reports and communicate with appropriate staff members regarding certification statuses.
  • Coordinate record and maintain data for each employee as required in personnel information systems.
  • Process employment verification requests as directed and in accordance with Board Policy.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents as directed.
  • Assist with special projects as needed within the department building.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned.

  • Occasional Lifting up to 25 pounds
  • The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk hear and speak and must have close moderate and distance vision ability.
