Job Summary

Position Summary
This is an eleven-month temporary appointment Serve as an Athletic Training Fellow within the Department of Sports Medicine and Campus Health Services. The position is responsible for assisting with the care of student-athletes to include prevention treatment management and rehabilitation of the injured student-athletes under the supervision of the team physician for assigned sport(s) the certified athletic trainer responsible for sport oversite and the associate director of Sports Medicine. Sport assignment(s) may be modified at the discretion of the Sports Medicine administrative personnel.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Degree from a CAATE (Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education) accredited ATP (Athletic Training Program). * Certification by the NATA (National Athletic Trainers Association) Board of Certification ( BOC ). * Current Cardiac certification by the American Heart Association or Professional Rescuer Certification by the American Red Cross. * Current or eligible for licensure by the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners. * Follow the NATA Code of Ethics. * Remain current on all state and national requirements for certification and licensure. * Agree to comply with University ACC NCAA bylaws legislation and mandates along with all regulatory agency statues.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Between 1-2 years of experience in either professional or collegiate athletics * Experience working with Division 1 athletic program * Computer competency (e.g. proficiency with Office 365 applications such as Excel Word Outlook). * Excellent interpersonal communication skills
