PositionSummary

The Data Engineering Manager leads a team of data engineers responsible for designing building andoptimizingdata pipelines and architecture across the organization. This role partners closely with analytics product and IT teams to ensure data is accessible reliable secure and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate combines strong technicalexpertisewith leadership skills to drive data strategy and delivery.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead mentor and develop a team of data engineers through coachinggoal setting and performance management.

  • Build ahigh performingteam culture focused on collaboration innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Manage resourcing hiring onboarding and workload prioritization.

  • Oversee the design development and maintenance of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines data warehouses and data lakes.

  • Establish and enforce data engineering best practices including coding standards testing and version control.

  • Partner with data architects to define and evolve data models and data platform architecture.

  • Ensure high availability reliability and performance of data systems.

  • Implement monitoring alerting and incident response practices for data pipelines.

  • Drive optimization of data processes to improve cost performance and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with analytics business intelligence machine learning product and engineering teams to understand data needs.

  • Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

  • Ensure data quality governance and security standards across all data assets.

  • Contribute to long-term data strategy platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance the data ecosystem.

  • Align engineering efforts with organizationalobjectivesand roadmap priorities.

Work Environment

This position performs its duties from ourOrange CA positionoperatesin a professional office environmentandroutinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones mobile devices photocopiers filingcabinetsand fax machines.

Physical Requirements

While performing the functions of this job the employeeis regularly required tosit;frequentlyrequiredto talk and hear use hands and fingers to type scroll and use computer equipment. The employeeis required tohave close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time exempt worked are dependent on the workload at the time. General availability and presence in the officeareexpected during regular business hours Monday-Friday. However some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may berequiredas job duties demand.

Travel

There is no major travel requirement for this infrequent travel may be necessary to visit remote office(s) attend conferences/industry events etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat isrequired. This event is a 2-3-day at our annual User Conference as assigned.

Salary Range

The salary range is$150000.00-$170000.00annually. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systemsorrelatedfields.

  • 58 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.

  • 24 years of experience leading or managing technical teams.

  • Strongexpertisewith modern data technologies (e.g. SQL Python Spark Kafka).

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).

  • Deep understanding of data warehousing ETL/ELT and distributed systems.

  • Handson experience with CI/CD DevOps and infrastructure-as-code tools.
