At Reuters News Agency were looking for an experienced proactive and driven Media Account Manager to help shape how our clients in Germany Austria and The Netherlands engage with our award-winning content and cutting-edge SaaS solutions. If youre fluent in both German and English savvy about the media and/or the PR & communications landscape and ready to thrive in a fast-paced client-focused environment lets talk.

The Account Manager is responsible for licensing Reuters news and services to the media and the media monitoring industry. Our customers are broadcasters print and digital publishers corporations and governments engaged in media monitoring. We provide our clients with multi-media content solutions as well as with SaaS from Reuters Imagen. Our products include video & text feeds pictures & graphics packaged content syndication services and media asset management systems.

Your portfolio will comprise a blend of existing client relationships and new business opportunities which you will be responsible for identifying and developing. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction

About The Role

As Account Managerat Reutersyou will:

  • Build lasting customer relationships and ensure effective service delivery to accounts. Youll develop a pipeline of qualified opportunities and manage the sales cycle to meet revenue targets.

  • Maintain accurate reporting via Salesforce CRM: forecasts account plans and pipeline updates.

  • Thought Leadership: Bring strategic insight to client conversations and confidently position Reuters value.

  • Consistently achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales targets through securing new business and contract renewals to meet and exceed expectations as agreed with the Head of Media Sales.

  • Remain at the forefront of industry innovation by staying informed on emerging trends across media PR sales strategies and evolving technology including AI applications and models.

  • Establish meaningful connections with the Reuters editorial team and key industry influencers using a strategic mix of calls emails face-to-face meetings and participation at industry events.

  • Represent client interests within Reuters collaborating with account teams and cross-functional teams to drive satisfaction and results. Youll serve as primary contact for all client needs requirements and expectations.

  • Craft impactful proposals lead negotiations and close agreements coordinate key commercial workflows and liaise with our teams in sales enablement marketing product billing and credit control finance.


About You

To be our Account Manager you bring:

  • Demonstrable experience of B2B sales in any discipline.

  • You are fluent in German and English and eager to support clients in Germany Austria and The Netherlands. If you speak additional languages please indicate this on your application.

  • An interest in the media industry. If you have any experience of working with broadcasters print & digital publishers online aggregators media monitoring companies and/or communications divisions in corporations please indicate this on your application.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • A track record of creating and closing business development contracts (identify develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and execute a sales plan ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency.

  • Problem solving: ability to understand articulate structure and solve client needs.
