Role Overview
The Wind Specialist will serve as a sector expert providing insights strategy guidance and implementation support across the wind energy value chain. The role requires strong understanding of technology manufacturing ecosystems policy frameworks and project development. The candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams industry partners and government stakeholders to support market development manufacturing competitiveness and wind project deployment.
Location: New Delhi (onsite at client location)
Experience Required: 7 years
Qualification: Masters degree in Engineering Technology Finance Renewable Energy or Energy Management
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Wind Turbine Localisation Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for turbine and component localisation. Ensure localisation pathways align with cost competitiveness supply chain maturity and national priorities.
2. Track Global Technology & Market Trends: Monitor global developments in wind turbine technologies OEM manufacturing approaches supply chain evolution and materials innovation. Translate international trends into actionable insights for domestic wind industry stakeholders.
3. Engage with OEMs and TierI/II Suppliers: Build and maintain relationships with global and domestic turbine manufacturers and component suppliers. Facilitate technical discussions collaboration opportunities and pathways for technology partnerships and localisation commitments.
4. Support Policy Measures for Competitive Manufacturing: Provide inputs on policies related to domestic manufacturing quality standards incentives and export competitiveness. Contribute to building an enabling ecosystem for highquality wind manufacturing.
5. Drive Export Potential & Market Diversification: Assess global wind market demand identify export opportunities and recommend strategies for expanding Indias role in international component and turbine supply chains.
6. Conduct Value Chain Assessments: Analyse wind manufacturing value chains to identify bottlenecks and capability gaps. Recommend targeted interventions including partnerships R&D support workforce strengthening and infrastructure improvements.
7. Coordinate With Key Stakeholders: Engage with government bodies developers OEMs financial institutions testing agencies and certification bodies to improve industry readiness and competitiveness.

Experience in the following areas:
Manufacturing value chains
Policy development and regulatory frameworks
Technology localisation initiatives
Wind project development or implementation
Strong knowledge of wind turbine technologies siting considerations standards and project economics.
