Arcadis Spain is looking for aJunior Consultantto join our Building Consultancy team in Madrid Spain. As the role is within our Building Consultancy team in Spain it requires solid understanding of building construction regulatory compliance (CTE urban planning) and ideally some exposure to fire safety principles and building pathology.

We operate across diverse sectors including real estate infrastructure energy and the environment providing support at every stage of a project. Our stakeholders are equally varied comprising developers investors government agencies funds asset management companies municipalities and community organizations.

By delivering insights that mitigate risks enhance decision-making processes and optimize returns we add significant value to our clients. As a member of our team you will engage with a breadth of opportunities across different asset classes enriching both your knowledge and expertise in the field.

Role accountabilities:

  • Technical Due Diligence audits: building technical assessments (construction systems envelope compliance and risk identification.
  • Review of Urban Planning licenses and statutory permits concerning the asset analyzing regulatory compliance design and operating conditions and useful life of the building and its elements.
  • Identification of potential risks and limitations in the sale and purchase as well as estimation of Capex of future investment for property management.
  • Proposals for improvement/optimization.
  • Assistance to the client during the entire transaction process.
  • Working with clients and managing their expectations and requirements.
  • Following up on audited risks until mitigation.
  • Carrying out visits to the different sites.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture/ Technical Architecture and Masters degree in Architecture.
  • Previous experience in Transactional Advisory.
  • Strong analytical capability and strong technical foundation with willingness to grow into transactional advisory.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools and software relevant to job functions (AutoCad Presto Project).
  • Timely delivery consistency and quality of deliverable to team and client expectations in compliance with our business quality systems.
  • Engagement with and adoption of the Arcadis Way and Arcadis core values.
  • Travel availability (Nacional and International).
  • Advanced Spanish and English language skills both written and spoken. Portuguese would be a plus.
