Job Description

The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the development and performance of a product line from conception to delivery. This includes conducting market research creating product development plans collaborating with design and engineering teams and analyzing sales data to ensure product success.

Responsibilities & Duties:

As an Electronics Control Product Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the lifecycle of electronic control products from inception through development launch and ongoing support. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering design manufacturing marketing and sales to ensure successful product development and market adoption.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Product Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business goals and market needs.
  • Conduct market research competitive analysis and customer feedback to identify opportunities and drive product enhancements.
  • Define product requirements and specifications based on market demands and technological advancements.

Product Development

  • Lead the product development process from concept to launch collaborating with engineering teams to ensure product feasibility functionality and quality.
  • Manage product timelines milestones and budget to deliver products on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure product performance and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize development tasks and resolve technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with design and UX teams to create intuitive and user-friendly product interfaces.
  • Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure seamless production and product availability.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans including pricing strategies sales enablement materials and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create compelling messaging and positioning for product launches.
  • Support sales efforts through training presentations and customer engagement activities.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Monitor product performance post-launch gathering and analyzing data on sales metrics customer feedback and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements updates and new features to enhance product competitiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage product end-of-life processes including inventory management and customer transition plans.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering computer science or a related technical field.
  • 7 years of proven experience in product management within the electronics industry with a focus on electronic control systems or related products.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and challenges.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certifications relevant to electronics products.
  • Knowledge of IoT (Internet of Things) technologies and trends.
  • Previous experience in new product introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
