Introduction to the role

In partnership with our client we are seeking a Product Designer to serve as the architect of intuitive high-trust user experiences for a fast-growing wealth-tech platform. You will play a pivotal creative and strategic role in shaping both the product experience and the broader visual identity of the brand across mobile and web. This is not just a delivery role. You will influence product strategy establish strong design practices from day one and help define how design operates across the organization. Your Responsibilities

UX Research and amp; Discovery

You will conduct user research interviews and usability testing to uncover real user needs and behaviors across the Ghanaian and Nigerian markets.
You will develop personas journey maps and insights that directly inform product strategy.
You will translate research findings into clear problem statements feature scope and measurable goals.
You will analyze competitors and market trends to ensure the product remains best-in-class.

Product Design and amp; Execution

You will design beautiful functional and trustworthy interfaces across mobile and web platforms.
You will create wireframes prototypes and high-fidelity designs that clearly communicate intent to engineering teams.
You will collaborate closely with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
You will iterate continuously using usability data feedback and growth metrics to improve retention and engagement.
You will contribute to UX writing interaction design and accessibility best practices.

Design Strategy and amp; Systems

You will help establish and maintain a consistent design system and visual language across the product.
You will improve internal design workflows processes and collaboration practices to accelerate team efficiency.
You will influence product strategy by advocating for user needs and substantiating design decisions with data and research.
You will represent design in cross-functional discussions and ensure a high standard of execution across releases.

What Success looks like

Launch or redesign key product flows that significantly reduce user drop-offs and increase adoption.
Establish a consistent research and testing cycle that informs the product roadmap.
Deliver high-quality designs that ship on time and require minimal rework from engineering.
Build scalable design systems that improve speed and consistency across teams.
Contribute meaningfully to product strategy and elevate overall design quality across the organization.

To be considered for this role you should have

3 years of experience in Product Design (UI/UX) within fintech SaaS or other complex digital products.
A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking and shipped products.
Proven experience across all stages of the design process including research wireframing prototyping visual design interaction design and usability testing.
Mastery of tools such as Figma Sketch or Adobe XD.
Experience collaborating closely with product managers and engineers in cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of ownership and accountability.
Experience working in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments is strongly preferred.
