Your day to day as a Respiratory Therapist
As a new Respiratory Therapist at Southwest Health System Inc. you can expect a diverse and engaging daily routine that will sharpen your skills and enhance your patient interactions. Your primary responsibility will be to assess treat and manage patients with respiratory issues collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement care plans. You will perform diagnostic tests administer pulmonary therapies and educate patients and their families about respiratory health. Regulatory/Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
- Current PALS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred.
Language Skills:
- Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong communication skills.
