Job Summary
St. Malachy Catholic School located on the west side of Indianapolis in the growing town of Brownsburg is a preschool through 8th grade Catholic school with an enrollment of 520 students with two classrooms for each grade level. St. Malachy is seeking a faith-filled 1st grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher in this position will be responsible for planning and implementing daily lessons for 1st grade students. The ideal teacher candidate has both a strong knowledge of the Indiana standards at the 1st grade level as well as current best practices to meet diverse student needs.
They can design and facilitate engaging lessons utilize formative assessment to guide instruction and provide ongoing student support and create a positive classroom environment with Christ at the center.
Must have a strong faith and willingness to share that faith with students throughout each subject area taught. Candidates should be able to work with grade-level team members other grade level teachers special education and special area teachers as well as all support staff. Must have excellent organization and communication skills while being flexible.
