The Finance Manager will oversee the schools financial operations and ensure effective budget management.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing annual budgets and forecasts
Producing monthly management accounts
Overseeing payroll and pension administration
Managing procurement and contracts
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Supporting audit processes
Managing fee income and debtor control (where applicable)
Providing financial reports to SLT and Governors
Monitoring expenditure and cost efficiencies
Supervising finance support staff
The role requires strong analytical skills and financial integrity.
The Finance Manager works alongside the School Business Manager and Headteacher. Digital accounting systems are well established and reporting structures are clear.
Professional finance qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in financial management (education desirable)
Strong budgeting and reporting skills
High attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to communicate financial data clearly
