As part of its ongoing operational enhancement the school is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager will oversee the schools financial operations and ensure robust compliant financial management.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and managing annual budgets and forecasts
Producing monthly management accounts
Overseeing payroll pensions and staff contracts
Managing fee billing income tracking and debtor control
Leading procurement processes and ensuring value for money
Liaising with auditors and preparing year-end accounts
Ensuring compliance with charity and independent school regulations
Managing financial reporting to governors and trustees
Overseeing financial risk management and long-term planning
Supervising finance staff and administrative support
The role requires strong analytical skills financial expertise and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
The Finance Manager will work closely with the School Business Manager Headteacher and Governing Board. The department uses digital accounting software and maintains structured financial processes to ensure transparency and accountability.
Professional finance qualification (AAT ACCA CIMA or equivalent)
Experience managing finance within education or the non-profit sector (desirable)
Strong budgeting and forecasting skills
