POSITION SUMMARY:
As an RN on S7E our Surgical/ Stepdown (PCC level) unit you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be able to deliver excellent care to surgical patients from a variety of specialties including orthopedics vascular medicine thoracic bariatric and complex medicine. S7E is a 30-bed unit with a skilled nursingstaff and candidates will work with our educators to ensure a robust orientation and training with a preceptor to ensure that you are prepared to optimal patient care.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Deliver nursing care in the S7E unit including assessing diagnosing planning intervening evaluating and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members patients and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCs nursing organization
Assist the leadership team as needed inquality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Nursing degree: Diploma ASN or BSN (preferred) Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Advanced Cardiac Life support(ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certificate preferred and/or completed during orientation
PCC certification preferred training for PCC education will be offered as part of a plan for professional growth.
EXPERIENCE:
1 years of RN experience preferred.
Previous Med-Surg experience preferred.
Telemetry experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
Basic computer proficiency.
Fluency in another language a plus.

Compensation Range:
$39.02- $90.05This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
