We are hiring a Manager and Team Lead Third Party Residential Underwriting - BMBE!Reporting To:Assistant Vice President Third Party Residential Underwriting - BMBEFull-Time/Part- Time:Full TimePosting Date:February 11 2026Closing Date:February 25 2026Salary Range:$76923-$123077Hours of Work:8:30 a.m. 5:00 :Office Location: 16.7Montreal QCWhat we offer:Highly competitive compensation package which includes base salary bonus benefits and career advancement opportunities! *Eligibility for benefits is dependent on the terms of employmentThe Opportunity: The Third Party Residential Underwriting Division as a Division of First National Financial provides underwriting expertise and services on behalf of other financial institutions to the Canadian Mortgage Broker to the Assistant Vice President Third Party Residential Underwriting BMBE the Manager manages a team of Mortgage Underwriters Associate Mortgage Underwriters and Mortgage Funders in meeting the goals of the Third Party Residential Underwriting Division. Under their guidance and leadership the team is responsible for the assessment of mortgage applications in making lending decisions in adherence with the established mortgage underwriting policies and guidelines. The team also has responsibility for reviewing required documentation for accuracy and completion and for closing and advancing funds on approved mortgage applications while maintaining a consistent focus on service excellence. How you will contribute: Establishes and maintains positive relationships with mortgage brokers to build loyalty to the CompanyMaintains positive relationships with external partners such as mortgage insurers appraisers title insurance companies and solicitorsGenerates new business opportunities through existing referral sources to help achieve company sales targetsMakes lending decisions within established limits while ensuring adherence to policies and guidelinesCompletes management reporting as requiredStays current with latest industry knowledge competition and market trends Manages the capacity of the team through efficient delegation of work and careful monitoring of volumes within the workflowManages the performance of team members through ongoing feedback and coachingEstablishes performance and work standardsRecruits interviews hires and on boards new employees as requiredProvides coaching training support and development to team membersLeads team meetingsConducts annual performance reviewsAdheres to policies/procedures to ensure AML requirements are met when applicableThis position requires fluency in French and English.
