Civil Engineer Drainage & Infrastructure

With a strong pipeline of development projects and continued team growth an expanding engineering consultancy in Leeds is looking to add a Civil Engineer to its infrastructure team. This hire comes at an exciting time for the business offering the chance to play a hands-on role in delivering drainage and infrastructure schemes across residential commercial and mixed-use developments.
The role will involve supporting projects from early-stage concept design through to detailed design and statutory approvals. Its a great opportunity for an engineer working towards Chartership who is eager to further develop their technical expertise within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of drainage strategies and detailed designs using InfoDrainage.
- Infrastructure and earthworks design using Civil 3D.
- Design and implementation of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in accordance with current regulations and best practice.
- Production of Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and drainage statements.
- Coordination with internal disciplines local authorities and external stakeholders.
- Providing support to junior team members and contributing to high technical standards across projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in drainage and infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in InfoDrainage and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of SuDS principles and flood risk policy.
- Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments.
- Ideally working towards Chartership (ICE or similar) with a structured development plan.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
