Education:
* Bachelors degree in Healthcare Finance IT Statistics or related field.

Experience:
* 2 years of experience in related field or similar role.
* Proven advanced level computer skills with MS Office-type software programs (including Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint)
* Electronic Health Record Experience: Cerner or EPIC
* Database experience: OTTR (Organ Transplant Tracking Record) or Pheonix
* Healthcare experience
* Medical Terminology
* Quality data collection: clinical chart review and abstraction

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Regulatory compliance and auditing
* Strong organization analytical and problem solving skills
* Excellent oral and written skills
* Understanding of data monitoring and metric selection
* Root cause analysis/outcome review
* Quality reporting requirements
* Project management skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Self-directed. Ability to assess situations prioritize workload develop solutions and make recommendations

Position Summary

The transplant data and quality analysts primary responsibility is to collect and manage transplant data and quality metrics in compliance with the regulatory requirements governed by CMS (Centers of Medicare/Medicaid Services) UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.

Duties will include data collection chart review evaluating clinical transplant data analyzing patterns and trends in patient data partnering with the transplant leadership team to facilitate quality improvement efforts completion and assurance that timely and accurate clinical data is being entered into all databases.

Other responsibilities include the collection and entry of donor and recipient data into UNET (the UNOS database). This position also prepares monthly and ad hoc reports used to compile important statistical data for ongoing projects research the transplant community at large and CMS.
