Job Title: Signal and image processing Engineer
Remote Role
Group isSeeking a highly skilled data scientist/ signal processing engineer to develop implement and analyze large-scale Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) workflows using Python on high-performance computing (HPC) systems at MIT LL. This role focuses on advanced geospatial signal processing research algorithm development and close collaboration with technical experts humanitarian aid specialists and internal/external stakeholders
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conduct research on InSAR methodologies
- Develop optimize and maintain Python-based processing pipelines.
- Process and analyze SAR image data into InSAR products such as displacement and velocity
- Integrate GPS/GNSS data with InSAR measurements for validation calibration and interpretation
- Apply statistical machine-learning techniques including Gaussian Mixture Modeling (GMM) and other tools to help create or improve landslide susceptibility maps.
- Collaborate closely with technical and research teams as well as non-technical stakeholders.
- Document algorithms workflows and findings in clear and reproduceable technical documentation.

This position is REMOTE. The candidate is able to work remotely from any location. They may be asked to take up to 4 trips per calendar year to Lexington if the program/project requires it.
