Position Summary:

The Lead Direct Service Provider provides peer to peer direct service support to members enrolled in the Behavioral Health system. It is a key role for fulfilling The Arizona 12 Guiding Principles in the Childrens System of Care.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Relay information between the member and staff ensuring clear and accurate communication.

Responsible for working with ages 0-25 which includes the Transitional Age Youth population (TAY).

Report member feedback and any relevant issues directly to the onsite manager.

Assist in coordinating meetings appointments or respite services.

Complete administrative duties as directed by the site manager - Act as the point of contact for the team addressing queries resolving issues and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures when Manager is off site.

Assist parents/caregivers in navigating systems and meeting the treatment goals for their enrolled members.

Deliver interventions and activities that meet the needs of the child and build on their strengths in order to achieve positive outcomes.

Collaborate with other individuals involved in providing support and care to families enrolled in services.

Empower members by providing information support education training and connection with community resources.

Empower parents/caregivers to advocate the treatment services for the enrolled member/their family.

Provide clinical intervention to assist parent/caregiver in reaching the goals per the Individual Service Plan of members.

Attends/facilitates Child Family/Adult Recovery Team Meetings for members assigned for Coordination of Care and maintain continued education with caregivers case managers and other entities as part of the treatment team.

Complete and maintain member documentation in accordance with regulations and MIKID best practices. Facilitate peer-to-peer support groups and/or provide skills support.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Yes The LDSP assists with additional administrative duties in support of their direct supervisor and peers.



Requirements

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or G.E.D required.

2 Years experience in the Behavioral Health field.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills.


Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to demonstrate an accepting stance while responding with empathy and clarify to the family.

Must be able to encourage collaboration and have knowledge of the system of care in the community in which he/she works.

Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance through Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Valid drivers license and proof of car insurance and dependable transportation.

Working knowledge of basic typing/computer skills.

Working knowledge of Microsoft products.

Extensive knowledge of behavioral health agency policies and procedures.

Ability to maintain personal and professional limitations.

Must maintain a specified % of billable work.

Ability to understand the decision-making process and completion of forms related to confidentiality.


Travel required:

Providers will work from a range of work locations in their community. Locations may change throughout the course of employment and travel up to 50% of the time.

Ability to operate vehicle during the course of a workday and transport members.

Provide services to parents/caregivers in the home and/or community.


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Constantly stooping bending standing and walking during a shift.

Must be able to be work in both indoor/outdoor working conditions including extreme weather (heat/cold).

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 15% of the time.

Occasionally moves about inside the office to access filing cabinets office machinery etc.

Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery such as copy machine and printer.

Occasionally ascends/descends stairs to visit other offices or attend meetings.

Occasionally positions self to reach desk drawers file cabinets etc.

Frequently communicates with internal and external constituents related to compliance-related issues policy interpretation compliance training etc.


Additional eligibility requirements:

Current Fingerprint Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance card.

Must have a valid Drivers License.

Must have access to a vehicle.

Must meet vehicle insurance requirement (50/100 liability) and vehicle registration. Must have a clean driving record.

This position requires work authorization in the United States.
