| Job Description: | The University of Florida is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Regional Outreach Lead for the Diabetes STEPS Program a University of Florida Diabetes Institute initiative. The Diabetes STEPS Program seeks to increase screening for type 1 diabetes throughout the state increase awareness of the disease and education among practicing endocrinologists and improve the health of Floridians with type 1 diabetes and their families utilizing the following programmatic pillars: 1. Population Screening and Outreach statewide early detection and prevention of diabetes. 2. AI-Enabled CGM-Informed Personalized Diabetes Education and Management technology-driven diabetes care and education leveraging continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and artificial intelligence (AI). 3. Diabetes Tissue Biobanking and Fundamental Research building infrastructure for translational research and discovery. They will coordinate and implement statewide outreach and engagement activities work with healthcare networks clinics community providers and diabetes care professionals to expand access to research and clinical screening opportunities with the ultimate goal of improving early detection education and management of type 1 diabetes (T1D) across Florida. This high-level Clinical Programs Coordinator III will serve as a liaison between the University of Florida community healthcare partners and state stakeholders. The position requires expertise in program coordination health education clinical outreach and partnership development. Program Outreach and Coordination Plan develop and implement outreach strategies for engaging healthcare networks clinics and community providers across assigned regions in Florida. Manage regional coordinators OPS coordinators and other staff in various clinics around the state. Coordinate screening and education events in collaboration with healthcare professionals community organizations and advocacy groups. Build and maintain strong relationships with health systems clinics and providers to promote program participation. Identify opportunities to integrate research and clinical screening into existing care pathways.
Education and Engagement Partnership and Liaison Activities Act as the primary point of contact for regional stakeholders including clinics providers and health networks. Facilitate collaboration between UF faculty/staff and community healthcare partners to support program goals. Represent the Diabetes STEPS program at professional meetings community events and statewide conferences.
Program Support Data and Reporting - Track outreach activities partnerships and program participation.
- Assist in collecting maintaining and reporting metrics to evaluate program reach and effectiveness.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to program leadership for continuous improvement.

| Expected Salary: | $75000 - $85000 annually; commensurate within this range based on qualifications and experience. |

| Minimum Requirements: | Bachelors degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience. |

| Preferred Qualifications: | - Masters degree in public health health administration nursing social work education or a related field; or a bachelors degree with equivalent experience in outreach or program coordination.
- Three (3) years of experience in health education outreach clinical program coordination or related roles.
- Strong communication presentation and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain partnerships with various healthcare professionals and community stakeholders.
- Licensed healthcare professional (e.g. RN APRN dietitian) or Master of Public Health (MPH) strongly preferred.
- Experience working in diabetes education endocrinology or chronic disease management.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems clinical practice workflows and community health programs.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Creole) a plus.
- Familiarity with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) health technology applications or artificial intelligence in healthcare.
