Product & Innovation Manager Power Grid Netherlands

Responsibilities

The process engineer at Prysmian will be responsible for the execution of the following.

HV & PD Product Roadmap

Develop and manage a multi-year product vision and roadmap outlining the purpose details timing and unique selling points for each offering. Propose investment priorities and business cases. Oversee the entire product lifecycle including portfolio reviews and decisions on investment retention harvesting or exit.

Customer & Market Insight

  • Assist sales in customer meetings and market analysis.

  • Emphasize circularity and sustainability for market differentiation.

  • Represent customer perspectives internally analyze competitors stay updated on standards and turn insights into business solutions.

Innovation & StageGate Execution

Drive an innovation funnel of validated concepts for HV and PD applications. Coordinate and drive the developments in the internal organization (e.g. R&D Operations Quality Procurement HSE and Marketing). Oversee risk schedule and budget management; ensure effective internal execution.

GotoMarket & Launch Excellence

Define value propositions and positioning; build launch kits (datasheets training demos) and drive commercial readiness and postlaunch reviews. Assisted by the marketing department.

Continuous improvement

In this role youll be collaborating closely with the business managers for HV and PD as well as the HV- & NWC-engineering departments. You will support customer visits with product presentations. Visit and represent Prysmian at conferences and exhibitions. Together with the sales team youll use the gained market intelligence as input for our market strategy and product strategy. Occasionally youll be supporting actively on building tenders.
Youll be reporting directly to the commercial director Power Grid.

Who are we looking for

A Product & Innovation Manager who wants to be a key player in the Energy Transition. Are you motivated by making the world greener and doing this in a safe but innovating way

Qualifications:

  • You have a bachelor (HBO) or master (WO) degree on a technical subject

  • You have 5 years of relevant work experience in infrastructure and have a track record in R&D Engineering or (technical) Sales

  • You have experience in managing multiple complex projects at the same time you oversee projects from beginning to end.

  • have relevant product knowledge (Medium Voltage and/or High Voltage cables/accessories) know about the relevant technical standards

  • You are driven by sustainability circularity and innovation.

  • You are familiar with Identifying and assessing risks in a project and determining control measures (risk management)

  • You are able to study application/tender documents for technical and sustainable aspects and consult with internal parties and suppliers regarding feasibility.

  • You have good communication skills

  • You are a proactive player who takes initiative and knows how to persuade people
