Job Description:
The Cloud Security Architect is responsible for designing developing and managing robust security solutions across AWS and Azure environments. This role partners with stakeholders to establish deliverables communicate successes and challenges and ensure secure cloud application migrations. The architect will deliver solution designs evaluate new cloud services and create or modify cloud security design patterns collaborating closely with application and infrastructure architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Security Solution Design: Develop and deliver secure architecture designs for cloud-based applications and infrastructure focusing on AWS and Azure.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work with business IT and application teams to establish deliverables communicate progress and address risks and challenges in cloud security initiatives.
Cloud Service Evaluation: Assess new cloud services and technologies providing recommendations for adoption or improvement based on security requirements.
Security Design Patterns: Create and modify reusable cloud security design patterns assess security risks and mitigation controls ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational needs.
Migration Support: Partner with application architecture teams to provide security guidance design modifications and support for cloud application migrations.
Risk Assessment & Compliance: Conduct risk assessments security audits and ensure compliance with relevant frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001 NIST CSF CIS Controls).
Security Operations: Integrate security controls into automated DevOps pipelines oversee vulnerability management application security gates and respond to security incidents.
Continuous Improvement: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud security trends threats and countermeasures; proactively identify and address security gaps and propose security maturity and improvement roadmaps.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
5 years of experience in cloud security architecture with hands-on expertise in AWS and Azure.
Strong understanding of cloud computing models (IaaS PaaS SaaS) and security frameworks.
Experience delivering solution designs evaluating new cloud services and creating/modifying security design patterns.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including application architects and DevOps.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Azure Solutions Architect Expert
CISSP or equivalent
