About the Role:

An established nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate with a minimum of four years of experience to join its expanding Private Client practice in Boston.

This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated high-value matters for high-net-worth individuals families and fiduciaries. You will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced estate planning strategies advising clients on complex tax considerations and guiding fiduciaries through estate and trust administration.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge sound judgment and the ability to manage client relationships with professionalism and discretion. This position provides meaningful responsibility direct client exposure and the opportunity to collaborate with highly respected practitioners in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on comprehensive estate planning strategies
  • Draft sophisticated estate planning documents including wills trusts and related instruments
  • Counsel clients on state and federal estate gift and income tax matters
  • Handle estate and trust administration from inception through completion
  • Support succession planning and wealth transfer strategies
  • Advise on lifetime giving charitable planning and retirement asset planning
  • Work closely with fiduciaries and family offices on complex trust structures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in estate planning and estate and trust administration
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal tax laws affecting trusts and estates
  • Experience with succession planning lifetime giving estate and income taxation charitable giving and tax-efficient family wealth transfer strategies is preferred
  • Excellent technical analytical and client service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
  • Massachusetts Bar admission in good standing (Rhode Island admission is a plus or willingness to become admitted)
