Job Description:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develops and reviews quality standards methods work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured parts.
Develops CMM process including designing fixtures determining probes and programming the machines.
Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.
Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
Supports the senior CMM programmers to develop ultra-precision processes.
Required Experience - Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience with all of the below:
- This position requires proficiency in GD&T experience generating inspection processes programming CMMs and determining part acceptance.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards methods work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products (machined components and assemblies).
- Knowledge of GD&T and its application in CMM programming
- Completion of Zeiss Basic course required. Would also like candidate to have Zeiss Advanced and Curve/Free Form courses.
- Knowledge of CMM programming software (e.g. Zeiss Calypso)
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications
