About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our dynamic HR team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions including recruitment employee relations administration and learning and development. The ideal candidate is eager to learn possesses excellent organizational skills and maintains a high degree of confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Intern will work closely with HR specialists and managers on a variety of tasks including:
1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Support
- Assist with posting job descriptions on various career platforms and internal sites.
- Screen resumes and applications for entry-level and general roles.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Manage communication with candidates to ensure a positive applicant experience.
2. Onboarding and Employee Lifecycle
- Prepare new hire packets and assist with pre-boarding documentation.
- Enter and maintain employee data accurately in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
- Assist with conducting new hire orientation sessions.
- Ensure employee files (digital and physical) are organized and compliant.
3. HR Administration and Operations
- Provide administrative support for daily HR operations including filing data audits and document management.
- Assist with tracking time-off requests and maintaining attendance records.
- Help research and organize data for HR metrics and reporting.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and security of all employee and company data.
4. Special Projects and Culture Initiatives
- Support the planning and execution of employee engagement activities and internal events (e.g. wellness programs team-building events).
- Assist in researching and drafting updates to HR policies processes or training materials.
- Contribute to ongoing HR projects focused on enhancing employee experience and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with HR software or applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- A strong desire to pursue a career in Human Resources.
