Job Summary
Support Docker/Container/OpenShift Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform.
Support of SAN-attached devices and tools such as EMC PowerPath.
Support OS environments running one or more databases such as Oracle PostgreSQL and DB2. Work with DBAs and understand their requirements.
Provide support for Unix strategic/tactical initiatives.
Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills and work collaboratively across technical disciplines.
Perform complex tasks within operating systems in a large-scale production environment.
Perform troubleshooting in Production environment using good process assessment analytical and planning skills and be able to multi-task proficiently while exhibiting good decision-making skills.
Working knowledge and experience with ITIL foundation processes.
Troubleshoot applications hardware development coding debugging testing and delivery within a large Enterprise Production environment.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of computer performance metrics and tools to include understanding of CPU utilization levels CPU and disk queuing I/O response times and other key performance indicators and their impact on performance.
Be available for work during non-business hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Shell script writing and troubleshooting is a plus.
