Role Overview

The Accounting Manager Contract will provide hands-on accounting and financial reporting support during a leadershipmaternity leave. This individual contributor roleis responsible forexecuting and reviewing core accounting activities ensuring compliance with US GAAP andmaintainingstrong close reporting and control rolereportstothe VP of Finance and serves as a key accounting owner during the interim period.
This position iswell-suitedfor an experienced accounting professional who thrives in an execution-orientedenvironment canoperateindependently and is comfortable steppinginto support the accounting team whererequired.

What Youll Do

    • Month-End & Quarter-End Close
    • Execute and oversee month-end close processesin accordance withUS GAAP
    • Prepare and review journal entries
    • Perform and review balance sheet and key P&L account fluctuations
    • Ensure close timelines are met with a high degree of accuracy and documentation

    • Accounting Review & Oversight
    • Reviewaccounting workingpapers and schedulesprepared by other team members for completeness and accuracy
    • Ensure consistent application of accounting policies and procedures

    • Controls Compliance & Audit
    • Support internal and external audit activities including PBC requests and audit inquiries
    • Partner with the VP of Finance to address complex or judgmental accounting matters

    • Cross-Functional & Operational Support
    • Collaborate with FP&A payroll tax and operations teams to ensureaccuratereporting offinancial data
    • Support ERP and accounting system processes and help resolve system-related issues
    • Document key accounting processes to support continuity and knowledge transfer

    • Ad Hoc Projects
    • Support special accounting initiatives as needed (e.g. system enhancements policy updates transaction support)
    • Provide interim leadership coverage on accounting matters during the contract period

What Were Looking For

    • Bachelors degree in Accountingor equivalentprofessionalexperience
    • Minimumof 7 to 10 years ofprogressive accounting experienceincluding responsibility formonthend andquarterend close in a U.S. GAAP reporting environment
    • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP financial statement preparation and disclosure requirements
    • Demonstrated experience supportingauditintensiveenvironments including external audit readiness and rigor around documentation and controls. Public company experience considered an asset
    • Experience preparing and reviewing complex accounting areas including revenue recognition accruals and estimates requiring professional judgment
    • Proven ability tooperateindependently manage competing priorities and meet demanding reporting timelines
    • Highlevelof attention to detail strong analytical skills and disciplined documentationpractices

Nice to Have Skills

    • CPA or equivalent professional certification
    • Experience with publicly traded or privateequity backedorganizationswith experience in attention to details and rapid pace
    • Handsonexperience with NetSuite and financial close management tools ()
    • Experiencein technology SaaS orrecurringrevenue business models
    • Experience collaborating with external auditors legal tax and advisory teams in preparation for capital markets ortransactionrelated activities
Compensation & Benefits

The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications experience knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you.If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (i.e. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary variable).

$92400 - $132000 (CDN) a year
