The Traineeship
We currently have a newly created part time (3 days per wk) Timber Wood Production Operations traineeship opportunity based at our Rockhampton Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions site.
In this traineeship you will learn with one of the largest disability service providers in Australia Endeavour Foundation whilst completing a Certificate III in Timber Wood Production Operations.
As a Timber Wood Production Operations Trainee youll learn and develop all your on-the-job skills with an experienced team whilst also applying the theory along the way.
Some of the duties you will be involved in include:
- Sorting and processing timber
- Supporting the team to keep operations running smoothly
- Assist with all aspects of mill operations to meet customer orders
- Support quality control across production area
- Sort and merchandise timber for further processing
- Process pack and prepare materials to fulfil orders
- Help minimise material wastage and maintain a clean safe workspace
What will you bring to the role
Our team will teach you during the traineeship but there are some minimum requirements and key traits were looking for:
- A keen interest to build a career in the Timber industry
- An eye for detail with the ability to follow directions well
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Previous personal experience using hand tools drills etc would be highly regraded
- Ability to work Wednesday to Friday
- Pass a Police Check
- Able to obtain a Blue Card & NDIS Workers Screening check (we pay for this)!
- Provide two professional references
- Successful candidates will participate in a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test
- Bring a keen attitude and a willingness to learn!
