Job Summary
Company:
Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Assembly Mechanic to support the Quality team in Berkeley and Hazelwood MO!
Position Responsibilities:
- Have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment process parts interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and document results.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique and/or Method in which they are certified.
- Have the skills and knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
- Be familiar with the codes standards and other contractual specifications that control the Method used at their Site.
- Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
- Be capable of providing the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel in the technique and/or method in which they are certified.
This position requires an Occupational Health Vision Exam.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required
Basic Qualifications:
- NDT Level II Dye Penetrant Certification
- High School Diploma
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to stand and walk throughout work as well as carry and lift up to 35 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of Aircraft experience
- NDT Level II Magnetic Particle Certification
- Ability to become proficient with the principles and practices of the applicable test methods and techniques
- Proficiency with Computing Skills in Microsoft Word Excel and Power Point

- This is a union-represented position
- This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM 837) Collective Bargaining Agreement The selected candidate must be able to work any shift as assigned.
- New Hires as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of (120) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period.
