Job Summary
Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified Computer Science Teacher for a full-time position commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Our Computer Science Department offers a variety of courses including Introduction to Programming Game Programming and AP Computer Science Principles. Our courses stress algorithmic thinking and a project-based approach to learning.
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
- Teach a mix of computer science classes.
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community.
- Plans lessons that meet the individual needs interests and abilities of the students.
- Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior.
- Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students with progress reports as needed.
- Communicates with parents to discuss student progress.
- Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school.
- Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required Masters degree preferred from an accredited college or university
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Digital Literacy/Computer Science license (grades 5-12) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement
Experience Preferred:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- High School teaching experience preferred
Additional Opportunity
Once this position is filled members of the department will have the opportunity to apply for the Department Liaison position. This is a stipended teacher-leader role similar to a Department Head or Coordinator.
