Overview
A private family in Palo Alto is seeking a reliable detail-oriented Housekeeper to support a 4800 sq ft home. This role starts part-time with strong potential to become full-time for the right person. The family values consistency flexibility and someone who takes pride in maintaining a well-run home.

Schedule requirements
Weekend availability is very important (both weekend days strongly preferred)
One weekend day or a rotating weekend schedule may be considered for an exceptional candidate
Some late evenings will be needed from time to time especially in support of dinner parties during the week
Flexibility is essential with schedule adjustments based on household needs

Compensation
$45$50/hour for entry-level candidates
$50$55/hour for more experienced candidates
Final rate depends on experience and overall fit

Core responsibilities
Full-charge housekeeping: cleaning tidying and maintaining high standards throughout the home
Deep cleaning and proactive upkeep (floors surfaces bathrooms kitchen bedrooms etc.)
Laundry: washing drying folding ironing/steaming as needed
Organization and maintenance of orderly closets cabinets pantry and storage areas
Support for entertaining as needed (pre- and post-event reset; occasional late-evening coverage)

Household notes
The home has an older German Shepherd. The dog may bark initially until he warms up so comfort around dogs is required.

Required qualifications
Must drive and have a valid drivers license (reliable transportation required)
Strong English skills (must be able to communicate clearly follow instructions and provide updates as needed)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Non-smoker (no smoking or vaping during work hours or on the property)
Must be able to pass a background check
Strong verifiable professional references required

Physical requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Ability to climb stairs and move throughout a multi-room home
Ability to bend kneel reach and lift/carry typical housekeeping supplies (up to approximately 30 lbs.)
Comfortable performing repetitive cleaning motions and detailed work
