Job Summary

PRWeek Editorial Intern

Haymarket Media Inc. is seeking an intern to join the PRWeek editorial team. This position is located in our New York City office with three days on-site (Tuesday-Thursday) and two days remote.

Job Overview:

Provide general editorial support to the PRWeek editorial team across our digital and print products. Role to be further formalized based on candidates specific skill sets.


Responsibilities:

  • Aid the PRWeek editorial team across all its tasks and channels

  • Gain experience in reporting and article writing with real assignments

  • Research topics and issues to support current and future editorial projects and initiatives

  • Help out with video and audio production

  • Supplement PRWeeks social media and marketing activities in partnership with various departments


Skills and Requirements:

  • A journalism or communications degree or academic progress toward one

  • Knowledge of video and audio production and editing

  • Familiarity with social media channels

  • Good writing skills

  • A professional personable and tough interviewing manner

  • Tenacious and enthusiastic full of good ideas

  • Willing to take on multiple tasks and prioritize

  • Punctual and with a great work ethic approaching the opportunity with enthusiasm


Qualifications include:

  • News writing and/or journalism classes in college

  • Minor or major focus on journalism public relations communications or a related field


Special Instructions:

  • Attach cover letter and writing samples or portfolio


What We Offer:

  • Location: New York NY

  • Salary: $17.00/hr.

  • Start Date/ Duration: June 15 2026 to August 14 2026 (9 weeks)

  • Schedule: 32 hours a week; hybrid onsite schedule; Summer Fridays
