About the Program
The NCIA internship is a 6-month program based at one of our key hubs in The Netherlands Belgium or Portugal. Our internship opportunities start from either 1 March or 1 September with the start date being dependent on the timeline to secure the required security clearance to work within the NATO community. During an internship you will join and support a diverse international team and simultaneously learn from our experts via on-the-job training working independently on purposeful projects or initiatives during your tenure.
About the Internship

The Chief Operating Office (COO) is accountable for aligning demand and supply to create customer value by leading business through-life cycle development and planning prioritizing incoming requests overseeing resource allocation to projects and services. COO is directing data-driven performance improvements keeping the Agency Portfolio Programme Project and Services Management (P3SM) framework updated and ensuring compliance. COO enables the full life-cycle support for Service Delivery and continual improvement supervising compliance with the NCI Agency processes whilst promoting a collaborative environment for effective and efficient business operations.
In this role you will provide first-line support to project and service delivery managers helping ensure smooth operations and successful project completion. You will monitor ServiceNow-related
incidents in the IT Service Management tool for P3SM requests and resolve incidents as required. Working with the NCIA Business Applications Center you will help address incidents and implement enhancements for optimal outcomes. You will assist in developing training on ServiceNow usageespecially in project service resource management and time accountingand support adoption of other ServiceNow modules (such as Demand Management CRM and Services Catalogue) advising on compatibility and overlap with Strategic Portfolio Management enhancements. You will also support the Business Execution Management (BEM) team by creating ServiceNow and EBA/Oracle reports and by contributing to RPMO requirements documented via bi-weekly engagements.

Acceptance testing: Assists in planning preparing and executing acceptance tests for systems products business processes or services. Assists in collecting feedback from acceptance testing.
Application support: Assists with specified maintenance procedures. Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to applications.
Business administration: Performs routine administration activities in a structured environment. Follows clear procedures and uses standard digital tools. Stores and files information following agreed procedures. Makes simple travel and meeting arrangements.

You will be compensated at a fixed taxable rate of 1334.96 EUR per month based on 38 hours of work per week and for reasonable travel expenses to start on day 1 and to return to your home location once the internship is complete.

Future Opportunities
In support of the NCIA strategy to hire train and retain exceptional talent the NCIA Internship Programme embeds a performance management process throughout the 6 month internship to provide high performing interns with the opportunity to continue their internship experience after their internship is successfully completed in a paid post at G8 equivalent at the duty location for 6 months to a maximum of 24 months. There is no guarantee that the internship can transfer to an Internship Temporary Personnel (ITP) as the funding is aligned to business priorities and objectives.
