Traveler Rate: $105/hour
Local Rate: $85/hour
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician for a short-term contract assignment in a hospital/academic medical center setting in New York NY. This role supports the operation of a Nuclear Medicine and PET laboratory and involves performing diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures in accordance with established policies procedures and regulatory standards.
This is a union position with a fixed 60-day duration.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures following established protocols
Educate patients and families regarding procedures preparation and radiation safety
Conduct testing calibration and quality control of imaging equipment
Maintain compliance with radiation safety infection control and departmental policies
Accurately document patient information and procedures
Ensure adherence to all regulatory institutional and union requirements
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary clinical teams to support optimal patient care
Experience Required
Education Requirements
Certifications & Licensure (Required)
ARRT or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine
Post-secondary certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
New York State Radiologic Technologist License (issued by NYS Department of Health)
Current BCLS certification
ARRT-R not required
