TITLE: AGM- Product Intelligence
LOCATION: Kolkata
Role Objective:
To lead sensory science consumer evaluation and product performance assessment for Emami’s personal care and FMCG portfolio ensuring superior product experience consumer relevance and strong support to innovation and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sensory and objective product evaluation through trained internal experts and sensory panels.
Design and manage holistic product performance evaluation programs across the innovation funnel (upstream to launch).
Generate consumer and sensory insights to support product development optimization and differentiation.
Translate qualitative and quantitative consumer research into actionable product and formulation recommendations.
Partner closely with R&D Marketing Regulatory and Quality teams to ensure product success.
Drive benchmarking claims substantiation and competitive product mapping.
Introduce and implement advanced sensory and consumer research methodologies.
Manage external research agencies and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
Build product knowledge repositories and support long-term consumer & sensory strategy.
Lead and mentor the sensory/consumer evaluation team.

Strong expertise in Sensory Science & Consumer Research (Qualitative & Quantitative)
Deep understanding of product performance evaluation in FMCG/Personal Care
Excellent project stakeholder and team management skills
Strong analytical data interpretation and synthesis capabilities
Experience with sensory & research tools/software (Power BI Spotfire FIZZ SAS MS Office etc.)
Strong communication presentation and influencing skills
Education & Experience:
MBA / PGDM (Marketing) from a reputed institute
Engineering / Science background preferred
12–15 years of experience in Sensory Science Consumer Research or Product Performance roles
Prior experience from FMCG / Personal Care companies (e.g. Emami L’Oréal Hindustan Unilever Marico Dabur ITC Godrej etc.) is highly preferred
