NRDCs Beijing Representative Office is registered in Beijing in accordance with applicable laws.

NRDC is seeking a Project Coordinator to work with the Industrial Decarbonization team in our Beijing office.


Position Summary
NRDC is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Industrial Decarbonization team in our Beijing office. This team works to advance decarbonization across four major high-carbon sectorsiron and steel cement aluminum and chemicalswhile also reducing non-CO₂ greenhouse gas emissions such as methane and HFCs. The Project Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative project management and research support and will collaborate closely with other NRDC teams to help achieve the overall goals of the China program.


This position is based in NRDCs Beijing office and is an integral part of NRDCs China team in the International Program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall support for project operation and administration including organizing meetings and events preparing compliance and financial paper works; logistic arrangement for team events and business trips; taking meeting notes etc.
  • Draft submit and track contracts for legal review and process approved contracts for signing.
  • Process business expenses keep records and process payments to partners vendors and consultants. Track payments status and invoices.
  • Translation between Chinese and English as required; assisting in project research and report review as requested.
  • Carry out project documents filing and recording including project reports contracts invoices photos videos and other project materials.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Director.

Qualifications

  • Commitment to NRDCs mission and values.
  • Degree in energy environmental or public policy or a related field.
  • 1-2 years related experience in similar capacity will be preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese with excellent oral and written skills as well as bilingual translation ability.
  • A high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with great team spirit.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks follow organizational procedures and perform accurately under deadlines.

Preferred

  • Experience working in the public and/or non-profit sector desired.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in environmental issues a plus.
