Position Type: Full-Time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide 24x7 on-call emergency response and support to maintain building systems and infrastructure integrity and availability
Monitor and maintain all building and mission critical facilities equipment
Perform daily/weekly/monthly walk-throughs supporting data center and office operations
Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment to ensure efficient operation
Ensure Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Chief Engineer receive timely verbal and written operating reports about building systems and preventative maintenance
Encourage train and evaluate Apprentices technical and behavioral skills; set professional example

Requirements:

At least one (1) year experience supporting mission critical environments
Current electrical Journeymans license
Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in area of non-expertise (e.g. electrical expertise with mechanical competence or vice versa)
Ability to operate and perform routine and emergency service on state-of-the-art critical systems
Knowledge and experience using basic computer applications

Physical Effort/Activities:

May be required to walk up to 5miles per day able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time ability tobend twist push/pull crouch kneel in confined spaces work at heights on a ladder and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
