Responsibilities
Our state-of-the-art laboratory is built for efficiency and growth. We feature advanced automation in hematology and chemistry expanded microbiology facilities that meet CDC isolation standards and an enhanced transfusion service with increased blood storage and future automated instrumentation.
In this role you will receive and process laboratory specimens promptly and accurately according to departmental and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include assessing specimen adequacy loading analyzers preparing reagents under the supervision of a Medical Technologist and performing accurate data entry for test orders and patient will maintain proper patient identification throughout all processes manage inventory and supplies and support phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed. Adherence to safety infection control and quality standards is essential.
Qualifications
Education Required:
Preferred:
- AA degree or 24 college units in laboratory science courses.
- Typing and Computer skills in a Windows environment.
- Excellent organization skills with passion for working in a medical laboratory setting.
- High level of customer service.
Licensure/Certification:
Preferred: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT 1 or CPT 2).
