Job Title: System Administrator (Desktop Support Technician)
Location: Harrisburg PA (Hybrid Part-Time Telework)
Duration: Contract
Work Schedule: Onsite as needed (Telework currently temporary)
Position Overview
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking an experienced System Administrator / Desktop Support Technician to provide advanced incident management and desktop support services within a multi-agency enterprise IT environment.
This role focuses on delivering high-level technical support for desktop hardware software network connectivity and user account management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team environment while supporting executive-level staff and enterprise users.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Incident Management and desktop support services
Troubleshoot and resolve Windows and Mac OS issues
Support Microsoft O365 applications and enterprise software
Install configure and test:
Perform imaging of desktops and laptops using SCCM
Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements
Deploy and configure hardware equipment
Provide remote desktop support when onsite visits are not required
Assist with conference room video technology setup and support
Research and recommend modern technologies to improve performance and reliability
Provide executive-level technical support
User Account & Directory Management (Partial Weekly Assignment)
Create modify and manage user and resource accounts in Active Directory
Create and update Distribution Lists
Perform password resets
Manage access and user privileges
Utilize enterprise provisioning tools for account lifecycle management
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with ServiceNow or similar asset/incident management systems
Expert knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft O365
Experience with SCCM for workstation imaging
Active Directory administration (user accounts distribution lists permissions)
VPN setup configuration and troubleshooting
Wireless workstation setup and support
Desktop hardware troubleshooting (PCs printers scanners video systems)
Ability to resolve technical issues over the phone and remotely
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
Professional communication and strong customer service skills
Ability to lift and transport IT equipment when required
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
